AmpliVox Pink Podiums Promote Breast Cancer Awareness Nationwide
Posted on Monday, September 19, 2011
AmpliVox Pink Podiums Promote Breast Cancer Awareness Nationwide All over the country, breast cancer fundraisers and educational events have featured lecterns in the signature pink color of breast cancer awareness. These podiums are made available by a cause marketing donation program from AmpliVox Sound Systems, which delivers durable all-weather lecterns free of charge to local breast cancer organizations. The Pink Podium Promise, launched in 2010, has placed lecterns with well over 150 groups, including Komen for the Cure affiliates, American Cancer Society chapters, foundations, hospitals, and local governments. One lectern even went to the US military in Iraq for use in educational programs. Don Roth, the CEO of AmpliVox, conceived of the Pink Podium program as a way to tangibly help advocacy organizations get their messages across. “AmpliVox products are all designed to make people’s voices be heard, and our lecterns were a perfect match of product and need,” said Roth, a cancer survivor himself. “These organizations do a great job of raising awareness, and we want to be on the front lines supporting them.” The pink lecterns are made of rugged hard-shell plastic that can withstand any weather, in keeping with the unpredictable conditions of outdoor events and races. They can be easily moved, thanks to their heavy-duty casters, built-in handles and minimal weight. AmpliVox delivers each lectern at no cost before an organization’s event, and the group can then keep its pink podium for future use. The program began as a grassroots effort, with AmpliVox offering the lecterns one-by-one to local organizations. The endeavor then came to the attention of Komen for the Cure leadership, which officially partnered with AmpliVox to bring lecterns to any interested Komen affiliate. Melissa Aucoin, Manager of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series commented, “The entire Susan G. Komen for the Cure family is grateful to AmpliVox for this generous and useful Pink Podium donation program. We expect that these pink podiums will be centerpieces at many of our events in the future.” To learn more about the Pink Podium Promise, visit www.ampli.com About AmpliVox AmpliVox ® Sound Systems products are predominately made in the USA, meet stringent UL standards, and come with an up to 6-year warranty.
